Abstract: Translating English into Chinese of TEM8 is an integrated language application test for English majors. It has been proved that there are lots of problems in examinees’ answers. So it is quite helpful for them to analyze the issues and point out some commonly used skills.

Introduction
TEM8 is an important examination for English majors.《TEM8考试大纲》 requires it like this: For translating English into Chinese, examinees should apply theories and skills to translate messages on politics, economy, history and culture. However, there are so many problems appearing in examinees’ answers that it is necessary for them to learn some translation skills.
